Want to know how a high-flying team lead makes sure he’s on top of his game every day? We’ve got you covered. Uroš Marić, head of FishingBooker’s Legal department, has decided to let us in on all of his secrets – tongue firmly in cheek, of course. Read on to discover his unique perspective on cold spoons, hot showers, and early starts…
I wake up at 04:00 A.M. and immediately turn on Basecamp, our internal communications system. It’s extremely important to me to be the first person to post something every day.
Next up: Pumping. That. Iron. This body can’t maintain itself. I usually work out between 3–4 hours.
After my workout, I take a long hot shower to embrace blood flow. While I’m in the shower, I think a lot. Most of my genius ideas go hand-in-hand with flowing water.
Then it’s time for my skincare routine.
My girlfriend Iva has many fancy creams, but I prefer to use these cold spoons. God forbid I have puffy eyes for my meeting with the COO, Dino. My motto is: ‘’Time flies, don’t have saggy eyes.’’
Next: Destination Breakfast.
Breakfast is the food of champions and the most important meal of the day, which is why it’s Priority 0 on my menu. You never know who may stop by, so I always make extra food, just in case.
I like flowers too, they make me happy.
Now I’m ready to roll up my sleeves. They say ‘’a suit doesn’t make a man,’’ but I disagree. My inspiration comes from iconic pop culture figures. For example, rainy days remind me of Birmingham, so I decided to don my tweed and remind myself how similar Tomas Shelby and I are. Then, it’s work time.
At exactly 4:00 PM, I take my first and only break of the day to pour myself a lovely cup of tea. My advice? Never use a regular cup, only fine china. And it’s important to always have a saucer, because where else will you put the cookie?
The tea gets me warmed up and ready to do some stretching, so I’ll do a 20-minute yoga session. After yoga, I’ll take a quick cold shower so my mind is crystal clear again!
But before I sit down in that chair for another 5 hours of work, I change my clothes to something more casual and urban, so I can feel young and alive again.
10:00 PM is the time I finish. I close my laptop down – no more screen time until 4:00 AM.
It’s not just all work and no play, though. In my spare time, I like to hang out with famous world champions. Here’s me showing off my boxing skills with Canelo Álvarez:
Finally, before I go to bed, I like to treat myself to a glass of fine scotch 🥃 and celebrate one more successful day!
These days, we’re constantly bombarded with articles, blogs, and “life hacks” about using our time more effectively and being more productive. But as you can see above, the ultimate recipe for success is actually pretty simple, right? All it involves is waking up at the crack of dawn, investing in some fancy tweed suits, and making sure you have access to plenty of flowing water. You don’t want to miss out on that crucial cold shower in the afternoon!
